Jennifer Emmett was born in Gippsland, Victoria and her family moved to Queensland in the early 1970's. She spent her childhood in regional Queensland towns including Beerburrum, Longreach, Kilcoy and Caboolture. In her late teenage years, Jennifer moved to Brisbane and after seven years in the city the yearning to go north lead her to Townsville. In 1994 Jennifer discovered her love of the Mackay Region where she continues to live to this day with her wife, Karen. As a child, Jennifer struggled in the education system and left school at 16 years of age to discover her ways of learning. Her innate curiosity about business, leadership, the human mind and how to live a good life has resulted in a life of discovery and achievement. Jennifer commenced working in leadership roles when she was 18 years of age and later became a company CEO. After ten years in the CEO role Jennifer decided to establish her own  business www.rhythmbusiness.com.au and www.jenniferemmett.com.au. Jennifer has a Diploma in Business and an Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management. She values music and creatively in her life and has spent over 20 years, facilitating Djembe Drumming workshops and Community Rhythm Circles.
